Fun to Make - Ribbon Tags

I hope you had a great weekend.  Things are still quite hectic for me so I am linking back to an old post with directions for making gift tags using decorative ribbons.  There are so many beautiful ribbons to be found and by now the Christmas spools are usually on sale for very reasonable prices.

My favorite place to buy ribbon at a terrific price is Costco. The spools of 50 yards are less than $10 and you can make a lot of tags with fifty yards of ribbon!

You can find the detailed directions HERE.   I used Cricut Design Studio and the tag from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge when I made the tags in 2010.   You can easily adapt this project to use another cartridge or basic shapes in another program to create the tags with window openings.

I'll be driving again on Monday - making one more trip to see my Dad before Christmas (and maybe the snow) arrives.  Are there really only two weeks until Christmas?!

  1. Diane: I remember these tags last yr. and got some from you. Even though I have the gifts wrapped for this year because my family will be coming the 18th for 10 days I want to make a couple of these - they are just beautiful!!! Andddd we had a huge blizzard with 10" of snow over the weekend so it seems appropriate to do this. ha. Thank you so much for all the creativity you share with us as I know you are just as busy as everyone else is with everyday life. Merry Christmas!!
