Vintage Eye Candy and Amazing Organization

A few weeks ago I told you about the free Scrapinar for February which featured Tammy Tutterow as the guest speaker.  Her topic was "Euphoric Ephemera: Adding Bits, Bobbles and Treasures to Your Papercrafting Projects."  It was a great presentation and I hope you were able to see it - either live or recorded.

Tammy is an incredibly talented designer and teacher.  She works with many top companies including Sizzix (where she is the Design Team and Community Manager), Tim Holtz, Ranger Ink, BasicGrey, Pink Paislee, and Therm O Web.  If you have seen her work, you will know that Tammy has a great shabby vintage style and she loves to incorporate found treasures into her projects.

Tammy recently moved her studio to the upper level of her home.  If you take a look at the studio link (HERE) for her former space you can get a sense of her passion for collections and wonderful vintage "stuff."  When I posted this last month, I told you that I couldn't wait to see the full tour of the new space!  Tammy just posted both a video and a photo tour of her new space and it is amazing!  You can find that post on her site HERE.

Even if vintage/shabby isn't your style, I think you will  be interested to see how she has organized her space.  She truly has a place for everything and everything in it's place

I didn't get a chance to ask Tammy for permission to post one of her photos here so I just added a few of my photos of some of the vintage buttons I collect.  If only my collections were arranged as beautifully as Tammy's are in her new space.

I'll be drawing the winner of the free spot in Monica Bradford's Scrapbooking Beyond the Pocket workshop at Big Picture Classes late tonight and will announce the winner tomorrow morning.

I had a crazy Monday and didn't get to do much with the Explore.  I will share some more of my thoughts about the new machine and the Design Space tomorrow.  Have a great Tuesday!

  1. Love the buttons! I have lots but not many vintage ones. I love anything and everything Tim Holtz. Love the shabby chic and grunge look for my man pages - which I have a lot of. Off to check out her old and new spaces.

  2. Tammy has a beautiful work space. I did watch the video she did last week. Bookmarked it so I could watch it again. So sorry you had a ruffffffffffff day yesterday. Love the vintage button you showed. So pretty I would never want to use it. Well maybe I could use it on the postcard idea that Tammy showed. Yesterday I was making a 40th birthday card for a guy friend. He's a hunter so I want to use rifles to hold up the banner on the front of the card. I cut some old wood look contact shelf liner. It cut beautifully. Then cut the outline of the rifle with my Father's Day cartridge. I like the finished look of the rifles. Just got to come up with a saying. I'll share it with you on FB when it's finished.
    Have a great day today.

  3. Tammy's space is so sweet! I have lots of similar stuff in my stash. I need to get more creative and spruce up my space.
Hope you get a chance to play more with your new toys!
