Delicate Doilies at Scrappy-go-Lucky

 

I am fascinated by intricate cuts - the more complicated the better!  I like to push my electronic machines to the limit in creating these cuts but sometimes it just makes more sense to use a die.  With a die you can produce a cut in seconds that would take 15 minutes or longer to cut out with a electronic die cutting machine.  Dies also produce a lovely rounded edge to the cut lines so they seem more dimensional than a flat cut made on a mat.


This is the English Tea Party die - one of many dies in the international Doily Die collection by Cheery Lynn Designs.  Mandy is carrying these fabulous dies at Scrappy-go-Lucky and today is my day to post on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog sharing a few of my cards.  Please click HERE to go to the blog and see the full post.

    I love the Cheery Lynn dies too! I have recently found them and they take a little getting used to because they are so intricate. But they are oh-so beautiful when cut correctly!! There are some videos on the Cheery Lynn site about how to work with the intricate dies that are well worth taking the time to watch.

    Love how intricate these dies are. I have looked at them and watched a video about them but haven't made a purchase yet. TFS. Have a safe trip.

    These are so pretty. The ones on the other site look like they are 3D! I can't tell these dies from the ones sold in party sections in stores.

    Those are phenomenal! The Irish in me really want that "Celtic Fire" die... but I have no idea what I'll use it for!

    I got one of these dies in April, but I hate having to poke out all the little holes. I think I prefer the French Bakery of the two you showed. It reminds me more of a doily.

    These are fab dies...I own a few of them...have to say the French Pastry one...as that is one of the ones I own.....and I LOVE it...they work like a charm...I posted pics of doilies I cut on my blog awhile back...and I "need" more!!
