Holiday Frames and Tags (coming soon)

Happy Saturday!   It looks like our weather will be rainy but I have lots of indoor projects to work on so I don't mind.  At least it isn't snow (yet!).  I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.

I mentioned a while ago that there is a new Creative Memories exclusive Cricut cartridge called Holiday Frames and Tags.  This cartridge won't be available to order on my website until November 1st.  I was able to order a preview copy for myself and it is due to arrive on Monday.

Several people have asked about the cartridge and I do have some screen shots from the look book that I can share with you today.  This cartridge is just what the title says - full of frames and tags.  They are quite pretty and most have four layers.  There are three fonts on this cartridge along with some envelopes, borders, rosettes and other 3D items.

Here are the screen shots - I will have the handbook next week and will try to photograph it (or give you a link to download a copy when the digital copy is available).  These screen shots are not as sharp as the actual handbook will be but they will give you a good idea of the style of this cartridge.  The colors used for the samples would not be my first choice - try to imagine these cuts in prettier color combinations!  (You will see some images repeated since they were not arranged in an even grid in the look book so I overlapped some screen shots).

I think these rosettes will be very pretty for packages and garlands.  Many of the frames will also work as card toppers or can easily be made into shaped cards using the Gypsy, Design Studio or the Craft Room.  The holes in the tags can also be hidden with the software so they can be used in other ways.

This cartridge is listed as a limited edition so it will be available while supplies last only.  Creative Memories has stated that limited edition items from the November-December catalog will not be available after December 31st.  I'll post a link when ordering from the website begins (scheduled for November 1st).

Here is a peek at one variation of the project I'll be sharing tomorrow.  I find myself using my manual die cut machines (Cuttlebug and Big Shot) more frequently lately.  I'll explain the reasons in tomorrow's post.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  For the rest of the month, everyone who leaves a comment on my blog will have a chance to win this Sizzix "Scrap Pink" set.  You can see more photos and details at THIS POST.  For more chances, you can leave a comment everyday for the rest of the month - but just one comment per day please.

  8. Very pretty images/cuts on this cartridge - I've stopped buying as many cartridges as I had in the past, it seems that all of the new ones have just a slight variation from the older ones, don't you think? At times I feel overwhelmed by all of the choices I have...although I DO like that this one has four different fonts in it!
Hope your daddy is doing well!
