Ribbon and Acrylic - Blogoversary part 2

Welcome to the second installment of my Fourth Blogoversary Celebration.  A couple of new items have been added to the boxes - I hope you like them!

Here is how the giveaway works:

Just like last year, I have three boxes that I will be filling with gifts that I'll send to three blog readers.  Each day I'll add more things to the boxes until they are full and ready to ship.  You can comment on every post until the boxes are full to maximize your chance to be chosen by random draw.  You don't have to be a follower or a subscriber to win, however, if you enjoy my blog, subscribing by email will help you make sure that you don't miss anything - just click HERE and fill in your address, then reply to the confirmation email to be added to the list.  If you prefer to "follow" you can do that by clicking "Join this site" at the top of the right side column.

If you are a subscriber or follower, you can leave another comment and have a second chance each day as a way for me to thank you for your support.  If you are a Facebook user you can also "like" the Capadia Designs page HERE and leave another comment telling me that you are a Facebook fan.

You can leave comments everyday so you will have multiple chances to be one of the three winners.  Please don't leave more than 3 on one day (1 comment, 2 follower or subscriber, 3 Facebook fan).  When you leave a comment be sure that you don't have the box checked to be notified of follow up comments so you don't get tons of emails clogging up your in box.  Please be sure to leave some way for me to contact you if you are one of the lucky three - you can leave your email address and use (at) and (dot) to help avoid spam.

Remember - you can't just leave a random comment - you have to answer the question in the post (so I know you are paying attention!).

Each box now has about four yards of this pretty ribbon that can be used for all sorts of projects.  It has glittered hearts and wired edges (but you can pull out the wires to use it for cards or scrapbook pages).

I've also added a heart shaped acrylic album from Anna Griffin to each box.  I have one of these for myself and I haven't made it yet so there will be some future blog posts about putting an album like this together...

Here is the question for today - be sure to answer it in a comment below.

What type of project do you do most often - cards, scrapbook pages, mini albums, home decor or something else.  Is this your favorite thing to do or do you do it because you are hesitant to try something new.  What types of projects are you interested in doing that you haven't tried yet?

I had a few questions about commenting so here are some answers...

The comments on the blog posts are the ones that will be included in the drawing - if you leave a comment via email or another method, I won't be able to keep track of everything (particularly in my still jet-lagged condition!).

If you are having trouble leaving comments, maybe these screen shots will help...

First - look at the bottom of the post and find the place where it says "comments" - unless you are the very first to comment there will be a number before the word "comments" - click on the word to open the pop-up box for commenting.

If the box doesn't pop up, check to see if you have a pop-up blocker on and turn it off.  Then type your comment in the box.  I took this screen shot while I was signed in so the word verification box doesn't show here (I'll show you this in another image).  You can choose "anonymous" if you don't have one of the other types of accounts listed or just prefer to use the anonymous option.  Just make sure you identify yourself sufficiently in the comment so I can contact you if your comment number is chosen in the random draw.  Click on Preview to check you comment for typos or other mistakes.

Your comment will appear in a little window as it will appear when published.

If the comment is fine, click on "publish your comment."

You will need to do the word verification (I used to moderate comments but there was too much spam  and for a giveaway people think their post hasn't gone through and try to publish it over and over so this makes things go more smoothly).

One more thing - make sure that you don't check the box for "email follow up comments" - you will get emails for every other comment that is left and this will be annoying for you!

If you are still having trouble leaving a comment, please let me know  - I don't want you to be left out of the fun!

I posted some photos from my trip - just the beginning, lots more to come.  If you are on the email subscription, you will probably have both posts in one email...

  40. I tend to lean towards scrapbooking mostly but do enjoy home decor as well. Although I don't make many cards, that is actually how I started out. I also enjoy photography and that goes hand in hand with the scrapbooking. I have started looking into digital scrapbooking and would love to be accomplished at that. Thank you for this great give-a-way!

  51. ...and now for my answer to your question....
I make cards. I love making cards. The only time I stretch out of that is if I need to make a 3D something to put a gift into (e.g., a card box or a candy box). I only do layouts when forced by a challenge etc. I don't scrapbook. I do make digital picture books such as through Shutterfly or Blurb but don't even like the notion of bits of paper etc in a book. It's just me. Odd like that.

  56. I am a scrapbooker first and foremost - I feel the need to get every year, every holiday, birthday, vacation, etc in an album. I'm fairly sure I will never get caught up! I do love to make cards and get sidetracked from my albums frequently. I can try many more techniques and embellishments on them, as my scrapbook pages are kept pretty simply.

  58. In 2011 I had decided to make every card I gave and so although I'm a scrapbooker first, by far I've made more cards now, than layouts. That said, I'm trying to only make cards for those whom I feel would enjoy something handmade and will be doing more scrapbooking this year, although I would have to get off of the internet and blogs in order to do that;-) I guess I'd like to try home decor projects as the few things I've made need some company! 78. Lately it's been "something else." For 100th Day at kindergarten, I made 19 crowns and 100-shaped glasses plus heat vinyled a 100th Day t-shirt for my son. Normally I'd say cards. Thanks for the fun!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I started out doing layouts but once I got into cards, that kind of took a back seat. I really need to get back to it. I also want to learn CCR. I'm sold on Design Studio but I've heard CCR does more, so I need to get on there and have a go at it.

  81. I started papercrafting with the intention of scrapbooking. Now I do more cardmaking because of the instant gratification. I do still intend on scrapbooking family pictures taken on family trips and never ending occasions (big family between my husband and I)but I find it overwhelming and very time consuming. I find that I am my worst critique so I avoid the bigger projects (probably like most of us). Have a good day!

    ReplyDelete
  82. My primary focus is on cards. We have a large extended family and the birthday cards are almost 90 a year. I also send about 25 to the small children and all my grandchildren on the holidays, Valentine's Day, St. Pat, Easter etc. What I would really like to do is get all the boxes of pictures I have in albums.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I probably make cards most often because I like to participate in challenges, and they're quick and easy to do. But I also tend to jump around on the type of craft I'm in to at any given time. I'm not afraid to try something new unless the supplies are pricey. One thing I'd like to try to do is start building furniture. I have plans for a new craft desk that will also store all my stuff, but because of the cost of the wood and the amount of time it would take, it won't be something I'll be doing any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  84. 1. I make mainly cards because I love giving them away and seeing the receiver's expression. That is very rewarding. I also make calendars to give as Christmas presents. They are VERY detailed and I have even sold 2 sets for $120 a set.

  85. I love to make mini albums and 8x8 pages -they seem so small and do-able! But lately I am making 12x12 layouts for my grand daughter's first two years and I am really having fun with more space to create! Who knew? Thanks.

  86. I have been doing a lot of home decor projects lately. I do them because I've been asked to teach a lot of craft classes lately and the ladies want a one of a kind, one time only, type of project. My home is starting to take on a new shabby chic decor. I love it. But my big love continues to be Scrapbooking and I fit that in everytime I can.

  90. I mostly make cards because they are small and can be quick and so are easier for me to do. I work at an office more than 40 hrs a week so my at home creative time is in snippets and especially for last minute deadlines like someone's birthday card needs to get in the mail to reach them! I also enjoy making crafts and hope to squeeze some time in for those soon!

  105. I mostly make scrapbook pages for my grandchildren. It's a bit overwhelming at times so I started making cards a year ago and love it. 107. I mostly do cards but throw in an occasional album page or home decor. One of my favorite mediums is cutting vinyl for my windows for the various holidays. Mini albums are great fun too. Word books intimidate me (haha!) but I may yet get into them one day.

  113. I started scrapbooking in 93 so I have albums pretty much caught up from that time. Now I am working on filling the gap from 81 when I got married until 93. In between albums I do cards as that is so much fun.
I would like to try print and cut.

  116. I enjoy making cards, but have made things for bridal showers and birthdays. In addition I make gift card holders, boxes, and holiday decorations. It's fun for me to see how I can use my Cricut, Cuttlebug, and cartridges creatively.

  118. I usually attend at least three card making classes a month and love it. I just finished two large cookbooks for my two daughters. I had fun decorating each recipe. Now if I only knew how to store photos on my computer. I'd like to know how to store and post pics on my neglected blog.

  119. I've been following your blog for a couple of years now - I love it, you put a smile on my face every morning before I leave to work! I am a scrapbooker mostly. This last year I made lots of minis. Mostly for gifts, I enjoyed making them very much. I've tried making cards, but I don't feel as comfortable though.

  122. I find myself doing mostly cards, mini albums and home decor. Usually they are all for gifts for family for different occasions. I really want to do more scrapbooking - used to mostly do it, but I find that I don't have the time right now. Maybe when the kids are grown? :P

  130. Hi hi, I make scrapbook pages in 12x12". That is my favorite thing to do. I like documenting my families activities and am working on a heritage album. My second thing I like to do is mini albums to give as gifts. I'm especially fond of the papersack albums and also acrylic ones.

  135. I love making cards for every occasion. My family is finally starting to understand the amount of time and energy that go into each card and thus appreciate my effort. I've recently started branching out to home decor items, but find it a bit intimidating. I bought a glass block that i want to try etching.

I alos do a lot of mini albums for friends and to give as gifts! I always have a 12 x 12 book that I am working on because they seem to never be complete! I like to do all of them! For some reason my job gets in the way a lot!! ha!ha!

I do need to get back to scrapbooking to work on our family history album.

Love that heart ribbon. Hope I get lucky!

  162. I have SO MANY pictures that I want to get into my children's scrapbooks, so that's what I mostly work on. But I also make a few cards. (It's lovely to have all of those supplies that can be used for both.)

I'm woefully inadequate in the home decor ability department, so I guess that's something that I would like/need to work on!

  165. I used to do just scrapbook pages but then I ventured out to recipe books and other gifts. Now I seem to be into cards. There isn't anything I am afraid to try as long as I have the supplies. I have so much now, it would be hard to justify to my husband why I "need" more!

  166. The only thing I haven't done is mini albums. I don't take enough pictures to scrapbook, let alone create a mini album. I do very much enjoy doing everything else on the list. I think home decor is probably my most favorite thing of all three.
