Tags with Ribbon "windows"

A few days ago I showed you a "sneak peek" of some ribbon that I found at Costco. I know that some of you are not fans of the "untraditional" Christmas color schemes, but I thought it was pretty and I knew I could find some ways to use it in my projects.

Here is another look at the ribbon.  It comes on a continuous spool of 50 yards and costs less than $10.  I counted 15 of the Christmas ornaments per yard (so that is a lot of ornaments - about 750!).

Last year I found a different ribbon with snowmen and used it for cards.  Here is a LINK to the post about these cards.

I tried something a bit different with the ornament ribbon and made tags with two layers forming a window for the ribbon to show from both directions.  I had a very busy day Monday and I'll be driving to New Jersey on Tuesday so I will have to wait another day or so to write up the explanation of how I did it.

Sorry for the short post but I know that you all are also busy at this time of year.  December is flying by!  I just got a package in the mail that I'll be telling you about soon - it contained something that I will be able to give to one lucky person.  I wonder if you can guess what was in it...

  7. Those tags look great! What a simple idea that looks fabulous.

My guess for the pkg is some promarkers since Enfys just got some to give away.

  8. I bet I know how you're going to put these tags together. I just wish I had a Costco nearby so I could buy some of that ribbon, although it's way more than I would ever need.

  13. Love those tags. I was just at Costco today but I didn't look in that area. Love your ideas. I made Christmas Cards last year using that Snowman Ribbon--I still have tons of that left!
Enjoy your trip to NJ--it was very cold here today.
