A Cute Tag for Inspiration

Last Sunday was the special music Sunday at the church that my husband's parents and sister attend.  They all sing in the choir and several times a year there is an extended time for music with a live orchestra.  The advent service was lovely and the music was beautiful.  We appreciated the dedication of the music director and were happy to have to chance to be there.

After church there was a bake sale and I "had to" buy some cookies when I saw the adorable tag identifying the contents as chocolate peppermint cookies.  Unfortunately, there was no name or other information on the tag so I can't tell you more about it.  It seems to be printed with the head, scarf and antlers raised on foam squares.  I am sure that we could create something similar with Cricut cuts and I will try when I get a chance.  I really like the multicolored scallops around the edges of the tag.  This may be a good project for the Imagine once we are able to do some real designing with it.  I hope it provides a bit of inspiration if you are still making tags (like me!).

It was great to see my Dad and we had a good visit - always too short but we did a lot in the time we had.  I am worn out from the drive home and have several things I'd like to post but for now I will just share a tiny sneak peek at one of them - I hope to post the full project tomorrow.

I haven't had a chance to explore the Hello Thursday cartridges carefully yet since I was on the road Friday but it looks like there will be a lot of happy people with the variety of cartridges announced.  I wrote yesterday's post in a hurry and I completely forgot to add the links for the "Hello Thursday" blogs - as always, you can see some great projects using these cartridges on Joy's blog, Melanie's blog, Robyn's blog and Tammy's blog.

I hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Awww, that tag is just adorable! Can't wait til you have a chance to try and recreate it. I don't have an Imagine, so I'm guessing it would be a bit more challenging to recreate with my Expression, but with some guidance, I'd certainly be willing to try. ;)
