Laurel Punch Around the Page Card #4

This is a super simple card with just a bit of a twist.  I used the Laurel Punch Around the Page set to make the white mat, starting with a 3 1/4 x 5 inch piece of white cardstock.  The pink layer in the center is Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock cut at 2 x 3 7/8 inches with the corners rounded.

The required size for the correct punching of the Punch Around the Page sets does not fit an A2 card top with even borders.

Tilting the rectangle to fill the space makes the sizing look like a design choice instead of a limitation.

The "love" jewels are from  Mary Engelbreit  and the gems are connected on a clear adhesive that makes it easy to quickly finish the card.  I was lucky to find some of these in a clearance bin at Michael"s!

  4. What a pretty card, love Mary E., lol! I finally got to the city this weekend and seen this punch, along with a few other's I would have liked but I didn't get anything, I had so many other things to purchase since I haven't been to the city in awhile and I felt a bit quilty because I needed to get so many differant things (I did finally find a Pink ATG though, so got that instead of any punches, lol!) I guess I'll just have to go more often from now on! TFS

  5. Very pretty. I had sort of thought of something like this for a set of note cards but instead of a word I was thinking along the lines of useing a monogram.

  6. This is stunning. I love the way you used the gems, but I also love the white laurel border. It is such a great transition between the pinks. Really nice work.

  8. Wasn't that fun to find those jewels at Michael's in the clearance bin? I found mine for 10 cents each so bought all of them and now have extra for friends. I plan on taking them apart and using them one at a time - have done that before and it works great.

  9. Beautiful card! I went to Michaels yesterday to use my 50% off coupon for a MS punch, and was soooo tempted to get this one, but I'm still holding out hope on winning it! I bought the Vintage Floral; another beautiful punch set of hers.
