Still More Snowflakes! (with Home Accents)

Has it stopped snowing yet? I remembered that there were several snowflakes on the Home Accents cartridge - so I put those in circles too. I can't believe how addictive these have become. I am thinking of making a "curtain" of snowflakes to hang in the window - but first I think I'll add a bit of sparkle.

A few more ideas for using these files - you can adjust the size to fit a round cookie cutter and then use the cut as a "stencil" for sprinkling colored sugar on the cookie or on the frosting of a cupcake. You can also place these on a card and sponge ink over the cut to produce a negative image of the snowflake. I will post photos of some of these soon.

Below are close up photos of all of these variations - due to the shape of the third snowflake the design looks more like a negative space image but I could not make the center snowflake any smaller and still get it to weld to the circle.

Thank you to all who have been commenting on the blog. I hope that I didn't sound like I was complaining when I mentioned the question I had about the lack of comments on the 4Shared downloading site - I was just trying to figure out why there was a sudden cut off of comments on the downloading pages. A few people did let me know that the download page now says you need to register in order to leave a comment. I am not sure how or why that changed but now I understand why there was a drastic shift in the pattern of comments. My view of the pages as the account holder is the same as before so I appreciate hearing what had changed when blog visitors click to download.

So....are you cutting these and making projects with them? I'd love to see what you have done.

Maybe that's why people don't leave comments there - just wanted to let you know.

Thanks again for all you do!

  8. As always your designs are so pretty and useful. I visit your blog regularly and really should comment more often. Often I don't have the carts needed to cut your pieces, but I still love to look. Great job.

  10. Diane,
Thank you so much for sharing all of your wonderful designs! I can't wait to work on the snowflakes. I decorate my tree using blue, white and silver with KMart's First Snow ornaments. I'll be adding some of your snowflakes to it this year! And exciting news is that I've gotten the Expression for Christmas (yes, a little early) and can cut all of your designs now. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!!! Jill
