Craftsy Now has Fine Art Classes


When I went to the PaperWorld trade show in Germany last year, I had a chance to try oil painting.  If you'd like to see how I painted my "masterpiece" in the photo above, you can read about the class I took in the blog post HERE.

Ever since I took that class, I have been thinking about trying to do another painting - but just haven't found a class...  I got some good news a few days ago - Craftsy is now offering Fine Arts classes.

      Thanks Marilyn Mae! The quilt will probably take a while - but I am trying to finish up some other UFO's so you might see those sooner...

    Gorgeous painting, love the waterfall! I have taken a couple of jewelry classes on Craftsy and there are also some freebies I've enjoyed like, sewing 101, using a torch to make jewelry> I love the way one can stop the video, rewind, go, stop; well, you get the idea!

    I'm taking a charcoal portrait and acrylic classes at the moment at the community college, so I'm going to take a look at the fine art classes offered at the Craftsy too!

      Hi Carmen, Thanks for the compliment - if you look at the original post it is amazing how the instructor took complete novices and showed us how to make something recognizable! A step above paint by number - now I have to move up from that level...
      It sounds like you've found some great classes. I also like the rewind and replay on the classes and it's great that they are in your account forever - do the class when you have time and no worries about expiration.
