On my way to the Midwest!

By the time you read this I'll be on a flight to Wisconsin.  Wednesday was an incredibly hectic day and I have no doubt that most of my sleeping will be done on the plane!  I'll be visiting my sister and brother-in-law again at their Bed & Breakfast near Madison.  On Sunday I'll go to Chicago for CHA (the Craft and Hobby Association Trade show) and I hope to be able to share lots of interesting new things with you.  Then it's back to Madison for a few more days before I go home.  I am hoping that nearly all of the construction will be finished by the time I get back!

Just to give you an idea of what has been going on - this is how my craft room looked on Wednesday afternoon.  I am so excited to start working in my newly bright space when I return.  We ended up having to switch the lights to the single squares to fit in with the construction of the room and the ceiling system.  So now I have ten (10!) new lights which make the room super bright.  (The original room had one small overhead light and I have added lots of lamps but this is so much better - and I can turn everything on and off with just two switches!).

I wonder if you can guess what the vinyl remnants at the top of this post say.  I used them in a rather unusual way and I'll show you what I made in the next few days.

I do have one more thing I wanted to let you know about.  Creative Memories is partnering with Cricut and will be offering the Expression 2, beginning October 1st.  The price will be $299 (the same as the regular retail price) and there will be an exclusive cartridge (Best of Times Sampler Cartridge) included in the bundle.  This is the only image from the cartridge that I have seen so far - from the name it sounds like it might be a collection of images from other cartridges.  I'll let you know when I find out more details - you will be able to order this machine through my CM personal website if you are interested.

Keep your fingers crossed for a smooth flight - I'll be posting from my trip so you should get at least one email each day.
