Extra Day for Birthday Bash Sale

There were some problems with the servers last night so Creative Memories has extended the Birthday Bash sale one more day.  If you missed the ordering deadline you have a chance to get the sale prices for one more day.  The sale now ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Time today, July 26, 2012.

I am pasting in the photos and info from my July 1st post about the sale to make it easier to see the sale items.

There is a 25% off sale on their top 25 picks which runs from July 1 - 25th (NOW JULY 26th). Click HERE to go to the sale page and click HERE to read more about the Birthday Bash.

Here are the first 14 items that are on sale (please click on the image to make the photo larger).

These are the rest of the sale items.  Both the Memory Manager and the StoryBook Creator programs are on sale.  There is an updated version of Memory Manager coming soon, so the price is $19.95 for the full 3.0 version and $5.95 for the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 starting today.  This price will continue until the new 4.0 version of Memory Manager is available.  I don't know yet what the price will be for the 4.0 Program or the upgrade from 3.0 to 4.0, but I will let you know as soon as that information is available.

Memory Manager is the program I use to do all of my photo editing and organization.   StoryBook Creator is the digital scrapping (and so much more) creative program.  I have worked with both of the programs for years now and they just keep getting better and better.

All of the digital artwork - papers, embellishments and templates  is 30% off until July 25th (both downloads and CDs).  Click HERE to go to the Digital Sale page.  The sale prices will appear when the items are added to the shopping cart.

During the month of July, you can also join the Rewards Club for $25 - a savings of $14 from the usual price of $39.  When you join, you receive and immediate credit of $10 and then earn a club credit of 15% of the retail amount of each order you make.  Click HERE to go to the Rewards Club page.

If you do not have a local Creative Memories consultant, I would be happy to help you with any questions.  You can shop on my Creative Memories personal website and have your order delivered directly to your address.

I'll change the email feed so if you are a subscriber you should receive this update today - apologies in advance if it doesn't reach you before the sale ends.

I am gradually getting things back to normal around the house.  I decided to be brave and take some "before" photos of the chaos in my craftroom - I won't share those until I have some "after" photos to go with them!

Catching up...

I have to admit that despite my desire to spend time in my craft room I needed to take a day to just catch my breath!  The past few weeks have been so full of travel and events.  I have just a couple of things to share for today.

One is this glimpse at a beautiful wedding card my neighbor made.  She was looking for ideas about cartridges with flowers that would suit the design.  I showed her some great punches that I have had for a while but I haven't had time to photograph and write about them.  It is a two step system with separate punches to cut and emboss.  I'll have to get busy and use them soon - in the meanwhile, they were perfect for her card.

The free digital cartridge for this week in the Cricut Craftroom is the Teresa Collins Holiday Silhouettes.  There are eight simple two layer images in the set.

When you log into your Craftroom account, you will see that they are included under the menu heading "my cartridges."

The latest Dover samples include several that have good potential for diecutting.   This silhouette of a lady in a hat was easy to trace - I may try to cut it this weekend.  If  you don't already get the weekly sampler emails from Dover, you can sign up HERE.  The samples for this week are HERE.

After everyone, including the cat, was packed and ready to go the house started to look empty.  It was even quieter when I got back from the airport.  We did hear that everything went fine at security - it is a little challenging when you travel with an animal!

Have a crafty day!

Family Farewell Dinner

Tuesday was a very busy day full of shopping, cooking and then finally sharing a meal with most of the extended family.  It was our last chance to get this many members of the family together until Christmas.  Will and Kelly (and Jelly) leave for California on Wednesday so they had lots of packing to do as well.

When you have a large family - you need lots of desserts, some gluten free, some nut free, some vegan (it gets complicated!).

One of the triplets is at a sleepover camp this week but we did manage to get a photo of two godfathers with two godsons.

It's hard to say goodbye to Jelly the cat - we've become quite attached to her.  I think she might like the California weather better than ours here in Massachusetts!

After I deliver the travelers to the airport  on Wednesday, I intend to get back in my craft room and sort through all of the things that have landed there over the past few weeks.  I have some interesting finds from thrift stores and the flea market and I want to start using or altering them right away!  I also have had some chances to work out designs in the computer (the image at the top of this post is one of my favorites) and I am eager to start cutting them out!

I hope your week is going well so far - it's hard to believe that the end of July is nearly here!

A Colorful Champagne Bar Counter

Monday was a busy day and Tuesday will be even busier with the entire family coming over for dinner.  I just have a few photos to share of few interesting things I saw at a French bakery and restaurant while we were in Wellfleet on Cape Cod.

Somehow, I didn't end up with a full view photo of the building (I was using the little purse camera that sometimes fools me into thinking the picture was taken when it really wasn't...).  There were herbs growing in the beds around the garden.

One thing I like that you usually see only in about beach communities are crushed shell parking lots.  It is a simple use of a readily available local material but I think they look pretty and a bit exotic.

They had a lots of interesting fish and ocean themed light fixtures.

This wall of copper was in the indoor eating area - it was fun to look at all of the shapes (I wonder how they keep it so clean?).

My favorite thing was the bar top - at the left of the photo above, behind the column.

There were "streams" of pebbles and bubbles embedded in sand below a clear top.  The colors were quite neutral with a colorful line of champagne cork toppers lined up in rows and swirling down the bar.

I'm not sure of the technical name for these - they are the labels that are on top of the cork and under the wires on a champagne bottle.  The colors and designs are varied and it was fun to look at them and choose a few favorites!

Sale prices - a bit of enabling...

The Creative Memories Birthday Bash Sale with 25% off on the top 25 picks will end on Wednesday, July 25th.  You can click HERE to go to the sale page for these items on my CM personal website.  The digital artwork sale will also end on the 25th, click HERE to go to the sale page.  Digital Artwork, Downloads and CDs are 30% off and the revised price will only show when the items are added to the shopping cart.  The StoryBook Creator 4.0 and Memory Manager software programs that I use all of the time are included in the 25% off sale - click HERE to go to the sale page.

If you have a Cricut Imagine machine, I noticed that some of the art cartridges are on sale at Cricut.com for $19.99 and the color and pattern cartridges are $14.99.  I don't know how long these prices will last.

I hope you have a great day - we'll be seeing most of the local relatives for a farewell party Tuesday.  I hope I can get the pool table cleared off - lots of my crafty projects collect on any horizontal surface and it is rather full right now!

Olympic Soda Rings

We had a whirlwind trip to Pennsylvania to visit my Dad this weekend.  It was great to see him back in his own apartment.  We went to the store to get a few things for Dad and I saw this Olympic display of various types of Coke products.  Of course, I had to snap a few photos!

The Olympics start on Friday and it will be a good diversion in our house.  Our son, daughter-in-law and Jelly the cat leave for San Francisco on Wednesday so it will be very quiet here!

The Olympic rings are made from various Coke products that come in cases that are predominantly red, green, black, yellow and blue (the blue is a bit pale but it works to convey the idea).  I wonder if lots of stores around the countries have a display like this?  Is it something the local store manager decided to create or did someone in the company offices figure out how to build the display and send directions for the stores to put it together?  There are a lot of cases in the display - how long will they keep them set up before selling them?

It's fun to find "crafty" projects in unexpected places.  This is pixel art with very large pixels!  Have you seen anything like this display at your local stores?  I did a quick search and found some other variations in photos online.

Here are a couple of family photos from this weekend...

Grandpa and Grandsons
Our new great-niece, just three months old!

We have one more big family get together planned for Tuesday and then I'll be getting back to a more regular schedule and sharing some new projects.
