Tim's Turkeys

Thanksgiving is almost here If you are looking for a nice idea for a place card holder or table decoration you should check out these "Quirky Turkeys" made by Tim Holtz using his rosette dies.  The dies make the process much quicker but you can cut borders and score them on a scoreboard to make the accordian folds.  There are also some Cricut cartridges with rosette shapes that might work nicely.  I spotted this turkey at my local scrap/stamp store and you can find full directions, a video and some very helpful tips for assembling the rosettes on Tim's blog HERE.  You will also find a template for cutting the turkey bodies.

Thanks for the good wishes for Dad's Birthday - we are very thankful that he was able to celebrate his "double 8" birthday yesterday.

My sister sent me this photo of Dad with his birthday badge.

Here is his shelf with some of the birthday cards he received.  Thanks again to everyone who sent cards.

I'll be spending most of the day finishing my big project.  I have to have it done for Monday so I am a bit of a Last Minute Lucy on this one!  I'll share the details next week.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

  3. Your Dad looks so proud of his birthday badge. That's a great idea of you kids to divide up his celebration weekends. I'm sure he appreciates not having everyone at once. I see my cards arrived on time. It's hard to judge snail mail from one coast to another.
