Jillibean Soup Halloween Kit from Craftsy
(sponsored post)

Halloween is just around the corner - are you busy making decorations?  If you are looking for some new projects to make and would like to have video lessons included, you might want to try one of Craftsy’s NEW paper crafting kits.  I just found out about these and I think it is a great idea, especially if your crafting time is limited.  Sometimes the hardest thing about preparing to make something is choosing the papers and embellishments to use - these classes with kits solve that problem!

You can order a "frightfully fun" kit and learn how to create several Halloween decor projects with exclusive video lessons to help you step by step. Paper crafts expert Ronda Palazzari will show you how to use Jillibean Soup's paper pads, black glitter beanboard alphas and festive embellishments to create a witch’s hat, pumpkin centerpieces and even a spooky banner!

I have been very busy with some "non-crafty" things that have kept me away from blogging.  I do have a lot of projects to share coming soon.  Here is a little peek at one of the things I have been working on...can you tell which of these printed then cut princesses was made with an SVG file and which was made with a PNG file?

    1. Thank you for the heads up on the Craftsy site! I am going to guess that the princess on the left is printed and the right one is cut? Appreciate your blog, have a great day!

      1. Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for the nice compliment on my blog. Craftsy has lots of great classes and projects - I know you'll like it! Both of the princesses are cut out - one is from a PNG file and one is from an SVG file...

    2. Thanks for sharing all the great info and...I'm pretty sure the girl on the left is the .png files, as she has great embellishments on her dress!
      Blessings,
      Melitta

      1. Hi Melitta -
I am glad to know that you enjoy the things I share. You are right - the girl on the left was done with a PNG file. I am posting more about this later today. Deciding which type of file to use is important since your images will vary depending on the source. SVGs are generally designed to be cut so they tend to have fewer fine details.
