New in the Garden

It's been a while since I shared photos of our garden.  Yesterday was a lovely day and I grabbed my camera and took a walk around the yard.  I hope you enjoy these photos.

Last Saturday there was a terrible plane crash at Hanscom Field, the airport in Bedford, MA, which is just a few miles away from our home.  All seven people on board were killed.  I am sharing these seven photos in their memory.

  1. The flowers are lovely; Mr. Katz who was one of the crash victims is from the Phila area (actually Camden NJ) and was part owner of the newspaper here in Phila. He also was a wonderful supporter of schools, Temple University, Boy & Girls clubs. etc. He will be greatly missed here. Thank you for honoring him and the others.

    1. Hi Beth Ann - I grew up in the Philadelphia area (Bucks County). This crash was a terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to all of the families and others affected by these losses.

  2. My irises in St Paul don't even have buds yet. In addition to the Minnesota factor, I have a later to bloom garden for some reason. Thanks for the preview!

    1. Hi Libby - and I thought we were slow to get our flowers this year! The Japanese iris are not out yet but the azaleas and rhododendrons are finishing up. I hope you flowers arrive soon - I remember you have a lovely garden.

  3. As usual your photography is breathtaking. I read about the accident and my heart goes out to the families. I had a pretty bad car accident on the 22nd and I'm just so grateful I wasn't injured any worse than I was.
