Custom Album Covers and a Sale!

This is one of my  favorite photos from our son's wedding last September.  After sorting through thousands of photos, I chose this one to use for a special album.  Creative Memories started offering Custom Album Covers last year.  This is my first custom album and I am very pleased with the quality of the finished product.

You can choose either a black or white spine and back cover and the front cover can be a full bleed photo (as I chose for my first album), a predesigned cover that you drag and drop your photos into or a completely custom design that you create in StoryBook Creator 4.0.

You need to follow the guidelines to be sure that your photo is properly placed since the image actually wraps around the cover (in other words, don't allow any critical part of the image to be too close to the edges).

Creative Memories is having a sale to celebrate the 25th year of the company. The sale runs from June 12 to June 25th.  You can save 25% on all Albums, Quick Albums, PicFolio® Photo Albums and Hardcover StoryBooks. If you don't have a Creative Memories consultant I would be happy to help you.  Click HERE to go to the "Just Can't Wait Sale" page on my Creative Memories personal website.

To create a Custom Album cover, you will need an account at the Creative Memories Digital Center.  When you register for an account they will ask you for an eight digit code for your consultant.  If you don't have a consultant, my code is 82352282.  When you register you will also be given a credit for 20 free prints.  The name for the custom albums on the site is the "You Create It Albums" in the menu on the left that says "Shop by Product."

Here are a few examples of Custom Album Covers.  The normal price for just the coverset is $49.  You would then add the type of pages you want for your album.  The sale price is $35.75 for the coverset only.  You can also order the coverset and pages for the same 25% savings (so the total would be $55.88 for the custom coverset with pages and protectors or $56.25 for the custom coverset with side loading sleeves).

You can read more about the Custom Albums and watch a video about creating your own album HERE.  The video was made with StoryBook Creator 3.0 before 4.0 came out but the process is very similar in 4.0.  There is an extensive FAQ document HERE to help with more questions.

If you are not ready to create a cover before June 25th, you can purchase a product credit which will be good for 180 days.  This way you can lock in the sale price and create your album cover when you have found the perfect photos!  The product credits can be found on THIS PAGE, scroll down to the third row to see the three options.

The album cover is a laminate that has a glossy finish and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.  The covers are printed with pigment ink to resist fading.  The photograph is very clear and the colors are beautiful - when you see one of these albums in person they are very impressive. You can add text to the cover or even create a cover without photos using your digital papers, text and embellishments.

The sale includes regular Scrapbook Albums, PicFolio® Photo Albums and Quick Albums (click to go to the page for each type of album).  Pages are not on sale but the 8 x 8 Album Sets do include pages so you can get a complete 8 x 8 album for just $19.50.

In about a month our newlyweds will be back from Spain and will spend a couple of weeks with us before heading to California.  I think I should get busy on some pages to go into the custom album!
